Asbestos-free Klingirit Boards

Compressed fibre sheets, known as “klingirite” in the industry, are the raw material of the gasket. Asbestos-free klingirite sheets, which replace the carcinogenic asbestos sheets used in the past, are produced by pressing aramid fibres, carbon fibre and NBR/SBR rubber binders in modern facilities.

As Batı Gasket, we keep Standard (Green), Steam/Heat (Red) or Stranded Graphite (Black) plate types in our large stocks according to the needs of your business. Thanks to its flexible structure, our plates can be easily cut with scissors or press and perfectly fit the flange surface.

You can either buy it as a full plate or we can deliver it as a gasket (finished product) cut on our laser/press machines according to your technical drawing.

Plate Types and Colour Codes

• Green Sheet (Standard): General purpose, economical sheet for water, air and low pressure lines.

• Red/Orange Plate: Plate with increased heat resistance for steam, hot water and light chemicals.

• Black (Wire/Graphite) Plate: Plate resistant to high pressure, steam and heavy industrial conditions with steel wire reinforcement and graphite filling.
