Developed for high temperature steam and hot oil lines; superior performance gasket produced by reinforcing 98% purity expanded graphite with stainless steel (304/316) sheet. Eliminates roughness on the sealing surface, does not harden under heat.
These gaskets, known as “Stranded Graphite” or “Pure Graphite” in the industry, are designed for extreme temperature and pressure conditions that non-asbestos gaskets cannot withstand.
Since standard gaskets contain binder (rubber/resin), they cook, harden and break at high temperatures over time and start to leak. Pure Graphite Gaskets, on the other hand, do not contain any binding agent in their structure. It is produced by pressing expanded pure graphite onto a Stainless Steel (SS304 or SS316) plate.
Steel Reinforcement (Ring/Insert): The steel layer in the centre of the gasket (usually in the form of a “tanged” or punched sheet) gives the gasket mechanical strength and prevents it from bursting at high pressure.
Inner Ring (Eyelet) Option: Optionally, a metal ring (eyelet) is attached to the inner diameter to prevent the fluid from eroding the graphite and extend the sealing life.
🔥 Excellent Heat Resistance: It can operate between -200°C and +550°C (Steam) in non-oxidation environment.
🛡️ Mechanical Strength: The perforated/stapled stainless steel sheet inside protects the gasket like “armour” and provides resistance against pressure.
🛌 Surface Adaptation: Thanks to its soft graphite structure, it adapts perfectly to damaged or rough flange surfaces like putty.
🚫 Non-stick: It does not boil to the flange surface. It is easily removed during maintenance without the need for scraping.
Does not age: It does not harden or embrittle over time; stock life is unlimited.
