Fluorocarbon (FKM) based industrial gasket board with superior chemical resistance developed forpetrol, solvents, aggressive acids and high temperature oils (+250°C). Does not swell, harden and deform under heavy industrial conditions.
Viton (FKM) sheets are the only solution for aggressive environments that push the limits of standard gasket sheets (NBR, EPDM).
Especially in petrochemical plants and automotive industry; gaskets in contact with fuel, thinner or strong acids lose their sealing properties by “swelling” in a short time. Viton sheets in Batı Gasket stocks form a shield against these chemicals thanks to the fluorine atoms in its molecular structure.
Not only chemical but also thermal resistance is very high. It maintains its elasticity even at continuous operating temperatures above 200°C. You can either buy it as a plate or have it cut as a gasket in sizes suitable for your project.
Maximum Chemical Resistance: Excellent resistance to unleaded petrol, diesel, jet fuel, biodiesel, chlorinated solvents and acids.
🔥High Heat Performance: Does not deteriorate its structure up to +250°C (Standard NBR tyre cooks at 100-120°C).
⚖️ Non-inflation: It does not swell in volume when in contact with hydrocarbons and maintains its dimensions.
🛡️ Gas Permeability: Gas tightness is very high in vacuum systems.
⏳ Long Life: Since it is resistant to ozone, weather conditions and oxidation, it maintains its properties for years even in the outdoor environment.
Automotive: Fuel pump seals, oil sump seals.
Petrochemical: Refinery pipelines, storage tank covers.
Chemical Industry: Acid transfer pumps and valves.
Aviation: Jet fuel and hydraulic system sealing.
Paint Industry: Solvent lines
