Designed for high temperature steam and hot oil lines; high performance gasket plate produced by reinforcing expanded pure graphite with 304/316 stainless steel sheet (tanged). Does not harden under heat, tolerates defects on the flange surface.
These sheets, known as “Stranded Graphite” in the industry, are used at critical points where the heat resistance of non-asbestos gaskets is insufficient (above 250°C).
Since standard klingirite sheets contain binders, they cook over time and become brittle like glass. Pure Graphite Sheets maintain their flexibility even after years thanks to their binder-free natural graphite structure.
However, pure graphite alone is fragile. These special sheets in Batı Gasket stocks are mechanically armoured thanks to the Tanged SS304/316 layer placed in the centre. This steel skeleton prevents the gasket from blow-out under high pressure and provides ease of installation.
🔥 Excellent Heat Resistance: It works up to +550°C (in steam environment) without destroying its structure.
🛡️ Steel Armour (Tanged): The perforated stainless steel sheet inside gives physical strength to the plate and prevents it from disintegrating.
🛌 Surface Adaptation: The soft graphite surface provides sealing on damaged or corroded flange surfaces like putty.
🚫 Non-stick: It does not weld to the flange surface. It is easily cleaned without scraping during maintenance.
Unlimited Shelf Life: Since it does not contain rubber, it does not stale or lose its properties while waiting on the shelf.
