Dielectric (Insulated Carpets) Products

The biggest risk in every business working with electricity is that the personnel is caught in the current. Dielectric Insulated Carpets, thanks to its special rubber formula that absolutely does not conduct electricity, creates an “insulating barrier” by cutting the contact between the operator and the ground.

The insulated carpets we offer as Batı Conta are completely different from standard tyres. It does not contain carbon (conductive material). It has undergone high voltage tests. When laid in front of electrical panels, machine control units and transformers; in case of a possible leakage, it prevents current from passing through the personnel and saves lives.

The patterned structure on the upper surface (serrated / lozenge) provides two-way safety by preventing personnel from slipping and falling.

Featured Features

  • 🛡️ 100% Insulation: It does not pass electricity up to the specified voltage value (1.000V – 36.000V).

  • ⚖️ Legal Obligation: It is obligatory to be in front of all electrical panels according to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

  • 🚫 Non-Slip Surface: Thanks to its special patterned texture, it does not slip when pressed with work shoes.

  • 🔥 Non-Flammable: It does not carry the flame when an electric arc occurs, it is fire resistant.

  • ⏳ Durability: Resistant to acid, oil and solvents; does not lose its properties for many years.

Areas of Use

  • Low, Medium and High Voltage Switchboards

  • Substations and Substations

  • Power Plants and Distribution Centres

  • Laboratory and Test Tables

  • Generator Rooms

Technical Specifications and Voltage Withstand Table

You should choose the right thickness according to the level of protection (Voltage) you need:

Thickness Withstand Voltage (Test) Place of Use
2mm 1,000 Volt (1 kV) Low Voltage / Panel Front
3mm 10.000 Volt (10 kV) Medium Voltage / Machine Front
5mm 36.000 Volt (36 kV) High Voltage / Transformers
10mm 50,000 Volt + Very High Voltage
